South Green is a planned 40,000 sf retail development coming soon to Carrboro, NC

Located just off Highway 54 Bypass, South Green marks the “Gateway” to the southern entry of Carrboro, connecting it to the north. The development offers retailers a downtown location with parking and easy access to the bypass and the rest of the Triangle. This is not just another retail center, but one that has incorporated the character of Carrboro into its design.

Progress on South Green now shifts to South Greensboro St. No more significant site work can occur until NCDOT completes the installation of new storm water piping under South Greensboro Street and its precursor project of waterline replacement. Replacement of an old 12" concrete asbestos water main begins construction August 1st, and the installation of the NC Department of Transportation stormwater pipe is scheduled to begin construction September 1st. The water main replacement is estimated to take 40 days. The stormwater pipe has an estimated completion date of April 2017. In April, construction will resume on both the site and the Roundabout. In the meantime we have seeded the site to prevent erosion and the surcharging mounds continue to compress and harden the soil beneath the sites of our upcoming buildings.
